The Ci Wara Book Stand is a quiet tribute to Ci Wara and to the knowledge systems that sustain life, where learning when to plant, harvest and wait is honoured through paired masquerade performances. It meets the Japanese idea of tsundoku, the joyful accumulation of unread books, and treats a growing stack not as neglect but as promise. Carved in wood, the piece reads less as furniture and more as sculpture, moving from office to living room to bedroom without losing its quiet authority.
